Diane Kruger and Anton Yelchin are set to star in the indie romantic comedy 5 to 7, which marks the feature directorial debut of Mad Men scribe Victor Levin.
The New York-set story, which was penned by Levin, centers on an aspiring novelist (Yelchin) who has a cinq-a-sept affair with the beautiful wife of a French diplomat (Kruger). Cultures, world views, personal ethics and dietary preferences clash as love deepens. Shooting is scheduled to kick off in late February.

Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn are producing through their Mockingbird Pictures shingle.
The Solution’s Lisa Wilson and Myles Nestel are on board as executive producers of the film, with the company also handling international distribution rights. The Solution will introduce the project to buyers at the upcoming American Film Market.
“Vic Levin’s script has us in tears — we’re just not sure if it’s from laughing or crying,” Curtis and Lynn said. “We’re excited about the grace and intelligence that he, Diane and Anton will bring to their interpretations of his beautiful story.”
Curtis and Lynn’s upcoming credits include Look of Love, with Annette Bening, Ed Harris and Robin Williams.
Levin is a four-time Emmy-nominated producer, writer and director who most recently was a co-executive producer and writer on AMC’s Mad Men. He was an executive producer/writer on the long-running NBC series Mad About You. His screenplay credits include Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!

“This is just a great script with a wonderful cast attached and filmmakers involved who have a fantastic track record,” Wilson and Nestel said. “It exactly matches our criteria of offering only the very best in independent filmmaking to our clients. The response to the project has been overwhelming.”
Kruger’s credits include Inglourious Basterds and The Host.
Yelchin, who stars in Paramount’s rebooted Star Trek franchise, drew raves for last year’s indie film Like Crazy.
