Horror enthusiasts will be able to enjoy The Hallow a month before it is set to hit theaters.
DirecTV is offering the supernatural thriller ahead of its Nov. 6 theatrical release so that customers can enjoy the spooky flick in time for Halloween. The Hallow will be available for purchase on the premium pay-per-view service from Oct. 8 to Nov. 4.
The film follows the story London conservationist Adam, played by Game of Thrones‘ Joseph Mawle, and his wife Clare, Shameless‘ Bojana Novakovic, as they move with their infant son to a remote house near the Irish forest. To disastrous consequence, the family fails to heed the warning of Irish locals, who say the woods are filled with sinister forces.
The Hallow, which debuted at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, comes from first-time feature director Corin Hardy, who co-wrote the screenplay with Felipe Marino.
THR critic David Rooney, in his Sundance review, wrote that the horror flick is “a kick-ass calling card for Hardy as he moves on to bigger projects.”
IFC Midnight acquired the U.S. rights to the film following its premiere at Sundance.
