DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg earned $13.5 million in 2015, up from $6.5 million a year earlier.
The film studio behind Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and other animated franchises had fallen on hard times with a string of lackluster titles but has rebounded.
In 2015, DWA stock rose 15 percent while the CEO’s compensation more than doubled.
Katzenberg earned a salary of $2.5 million, same as a year earlier, but his stock awards jumped to $4.5 million from $3.4 million a year earlier, and he earned $6 million via a nonequity incentive plan while he got zero in that category in 2014.
Ann Daly, DWA’s president, made $8 million in 2015, up from $4.2 million a year earlier, while CFO Fazal Merchant earned $4.6 million, up from $2.5 million in 2014. He was named CFO in September 2014.
Former CFO Lewis Coleman was paid $2.6 million in 2015, down from $3.4 million
General counsel Andrew Chang made $1.8 million, up from $908,557, and recently appointed chief accounting officer Edward Aleman was paid $1.2 million in 2015.
Michael Francis, the former chief global brand officer, made $3.2 million in 2015, down from $3.3 million the year previous.
