Canadian indie studio Entertainment One is shaking up its global film business by installing former DreamWorks biz-dev exec Steve Bertram as its new division head.
Longtime filmed entertainment boss Patrice Theroux is leaving eOne with a film and TV development deal in hand.
Bertram joins the indie producer and distributor as president, global film group, to oversee distribution operations in Canada, the U.K., the U.S., Australia/New Zealand, Spain and the Benelux.
He most recently led new business development and operations at DreamWorks, reporting to CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg.
“While it’s very difficult to bid adieu to eOne, I know that I leave each our film teams in the very strong and capable hands of our division leaders,” said Théroux, who joined eOne in 2007, in a statement on Monday.
