Microsoft is expanding its Xbox One system with a string of announcements including the new Xbox One S, which is 40 percent smaller than the current Xbox One model and offers 4K Ultra HD and high dynamic range support for games and movie content; and “Project Scorpio,” its “most powerful” system with support for 4K as well as “high fidelity” virtual reality.
Xbox One S includes support for titles in the new 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray format as well as streaming content from partners such as Netflix and Amazon Video. It’s slated to ship in August, going for $299 for a 500GB system or $349 for a 1TB model.

Microsoft reported that its developing “Project Scorpio,” slated for availability during the 2017 holiday season, would be its top model with 6 teraflops of GPU power.
The company said “Project Scorpio” would coexist alongside Xbox One and Xbox One S and all Xbox One games and accessories are compatible with any of these consoles.
