Scott Pilgrim vs. the World may have not done that well at the box office but Edgar Wright and Co. are going all out to promote the well-regarded movie as it heads into its Blu-ray and DVD release Nov. 9.
Wright will travel coast-to-coast, teaming up with various members of the Pilgrim crew to get up and close and personal with fans who made the graphic novel a hit. It also continues the grassroots approach the movie had embraced since day one.
Tomorrow, Wright is doing a fan screening in Boston followed by a Q&A at the Brattle Theatre.
Monday, Wright will be in New York with cinematographer Bill Pope for a Q&A following City Cinemas Village East screening moderated by journalist Elvis Mitchell.
Tuesday, Wright pairs up with Kieran Culkin to sign copies of the Blu-ray and DVD at Best Buy Union Square.
And just ‘cuz it’s out doesn’t mean the party stops.
On Thursday, Nov. 11, Wright, Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley, and actors Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jason Schwartzman, Brandon Routh, Anna Kendrick, Satya Bhabha, Johnny Simmons and Mark Webber will be signing Blu-ray/DVDs at Amoeba Music in Hollywood.
(Canadians had their shot at a Pilgrim fix earlier today, when Wright, O’Malley and actress Ellen Wong did a store signing and a screening/Q&A in Toronto.)
