Getty ImagesEmma Watson was definitely not a wallflower at the Los Angeles premiere of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She wore a sheer nude lace Armani gown, and suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet Monday night.
The 22-year-old actress’s backless halter dress was slightly — and thankfully only momentarily — too revealing as she posed up for photographers, as the side revealed more of her breast than she probably planned on.
Thankfully, Watson has a smart and savvy stylist who prepared for the eventuality by applying crafty silicone nipple covers on the star. We know this because you can see it in the Daily Mail‘s nip slip photo.
REVIEW: ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’
The gown was all very last minute. As Watson explained to reporters, she had flown in from Toronto, quickly looked through a rack of dresses and picked the Armani, which was a tad long and had to be shortened for her.
Other than her brief nip slip, Emma was cool and composed although she was happy to (politely) blow off rumors of her being cast in the big-screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
“I haven’t read the book yet so I don’t know what I would be signing myself up for,” Watson said. “But it’s always flattering to be considered for roles and to be in the mix for things.”
