Entourage’s Kevin Connolly has signed with UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. He was previously with CAA.
The New Yorker received a Golden Globe nomination in 2009 for playing Vince’s best friend and responsible manager Eric “E” Murphy on the HBO dramedy. Along with the rest of the SAG-nominated cast, he’ll reprise his role in the Warner Bros. movie, out on June 5.
Connolly is next set to star in and executive produce the adaptation of ESPN analyst Matthew Berry’s best-seller Fantasy Life, about a man who lands a dream job working on fantasy sports for a major sports network. The comedy, which received a put-pilot commitment from Fox in September, is part of Connolly’s overall deal with 20th Century Fox, which was also behind his sitcom Friends With Better Lives last season.
An avid sports fan, Connolly directed the 30 for 30 documentary Big Shot, about a financial scandal involving ownership of the New York Islanders. In addition to helming several episodes of Entourage, Connolly’s other directing credits include the upcoming period drama Dear Eleanor, starring Jessica Alba and Luke Wilson, and indie comedy The Wright Girls, which also stars Alba and sold in major foreign territories at Berlin last year.
Connolly continues to be repped by 3 Arts and attorney P.J. Shapiro at Ziffren Brittenham.
