TORONTO – The Eva Mendes-starring theatrical comedy Ansiedad (Anxiety) from Pantelion Films is shooting in Vancouver through April 13.
Patricia Riggen (La Misma Luna) is directing the movie about a young girl who pushes teenage rebellion to extremes while her young mother, played by Mendes, does everything to avoid growing up herself.
James McNamara, Greg Coote and Robert Lundberg are executive producing Ansiedad, which is based on a script by Hiram Martinez. Ben Odell and John Fiedler share the producer credits.
Pantelion Films, a partnership between Lionsgate and Grupo Televisa, also has on its 2011 release slate the Mexican romantic comedy No Eres Tu Soy Yo, debuting in theatres on April 8, and Carmen Marron’s Go For It!, to be released on May 13. Lionsgate is distributing Ansiedad.
