Relative newcomer Finn Little will star opposite Angelina Jolie in Those Who Wish Me Dead, the gritty survival thriller from Hell or High Water writer-turned-director Taylor Sheridan.
The movie, being made by Bron Studios and Film Rites, is in full casting mode, and today saw the addition of Nicholas Hoult, Tyler Perry and Jon Bernthal among others, to its cast. An early May start date in New Mexico is being planned with the shoot to go into the summer.
The casting is a coup for 12-year-old Little, an Australian actor with few credits but who appears in the Jai Courtney and Geoffrey Rush drama Storm Boy. Little was one of four boys who tested opposite Jolie, impressing both the Oscar winner and Sheridan.
Sheridan’s chase thriller tells of a firefighter (Jolie) who rescues a 10-year-old boy, a witness to a murder, from two stone-cold killers (Hoult is playing one of the bad guys). Now the two find themselves on the run and fighting for survival, trapped between the men and a raging wildfire.
The script adapts the book by Michael Koryta. Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch are producing.
Little’s trajectory was already on the upswing as he gained notices for Storm Boy and has Angel of Mine, a thriller from Lionsgate that stars Noomi Rapace and Yvonne Strahovski. He previously appeared on Australia-produced Netflix mystery show Tidelands.
Little is repped by Paradigm, Natalie Hall Management and Hansen Jacobson.
