The first trailer for Wes Anderson‘s upcoming movie The Grand Budapest Hotel has debuted online.
The film, set between the first and second world wars, focuses on the adventures of the beloved concierge at a famous European hotel, Gustave H (played by Ralph Fiennes), and Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori), the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.
In the trailer, a battle ensues after an elderly woman is found dead and it’s revealed that she left a painting entitled Boy With Apple to Gustave. Edward Norton, Adrien Brody and Willem Dafoe‘s characters then take great pains to recover the work of art.

The clip also features plenty of Anderson’s signature humor, with Fiennes’ character remarking to his dead friend, “You’re looking so well, darling, you really are. I don’t know what sort of cream they put on you down at the morgue but I want some.”
The trailer also teases a relationship between Zero and Saoirse Ronan‘s character, Agatha.
The movie’s star-studded cast also includes F. Murray Abraham, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson.
Fox Searchlight will release the film on March 7, 2014.
