Meryl Streep may have won multiple Oscars, but even she needed a little help fixing Thanksgiving dinner.
So she turned to Gwyneth Paltrow — sort of.
Streep explained on Wednesday’s Live! with Kelly and Michael that she had a “Thanksgiving disaster” after her awful oven refused to cook her turkey.

“I hate my oven. I hate it!” the Into the Woods star said ferociously.
The turkey ended up cooking for about 11 hours, said Streep, leaving at least the white meat edible, but she still had to find a way to cook the side dishes.
Luckily, her New York City neighbor was able to help.

After co-host Michael Strahan said he would have gone to a neighbor’s apartment, Streep said that’s exactly what she did, adding that Paltrow lives in her building, and the Goop founder happens to have what Streep called, “the best oven I have ever seen in my life!”
Paltrow wasn’t home, but Streep said she emailed her to ask if she could use her oven, and the doorman let her in.
So Streep cooked all of the side dishes in Paltrow’s oven.
Said Streep, “The sides were fantastic.”
