Harrison Ford has lent his voice to a campaign PSA urging American citizens to enroll in COVID-19 vaccine trials.
“Almost half a million Americans have volunteered so far and stepped up to help fight COVID-19 by being a part of the vaccine clinical trials,” says Ford in the campaign video, which is produced by Skydance Media CEO David Ellison and features a number of Americans in different professions, from a flight attendant, to a nurse, to a cashier in a grocery store, vowing to help fight the novel coronavirus.
“We need to register a million more volunteers to complete the studies that will possibly get a safe and effective vaccine to hundreds of millions of Americans,” continues Ford. The actor goes on to say, “The vaccine trial needs millions of Americans of every race, location and medical condition to help in one of the most important endeavors of our lifetime.”
Ellison shared in a statement, “I am humbled and honored to lend support to this effort to develop a Covid-19 vaccine, and am grateful to our friends and creative collaborators who did not hesitate to contribute to this cause.”
