The London premiere of the film, which was voted the most anticipated movie of 2011, kicks off in Trafalgar Square Thursday. More than 8,000 fans had received bracelets more than 24 hours in advance to line the red carpet; some had plans to camp out despite terrible weather and no bathroom facilities.

Critics have mostly praised the last installment in the lucrative Warner Bros. franchise. The Hollywood Reporter‘s Todd McCarthy wrote that it “ends well.
