Helen Mirren, 66, Voted ‘Body of the Year’ by L.A. Poll

Helen Mirren may be 66 — but she’s got the “Body of the Year,” according to a poll of more than 2,000 people conducted by L.A. Fitness.

The actress beat out Elle MacPherson, who despite being nicknamed “The Body,” came in a distant second place. Model/actress Kelly Brook came in No. 3, American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez in fourth, followed by former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole in fifth.

“It’s great to see the public celebrating bodies of all shapes and sizes, and proving that you really can look fabulous over 40 and 50,” said the company’s marketing director Tony Orme.

For men, David Beckham won the top honor of “Body of the Year.” He was followed by Cowboys & Aliens star Daniel Craig, Pirates of the Caribbean‘s Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Peter Andre. David Hasselhoff came in sixth.

Mirren will next star in HBO Films’ Phil Spector telefilm, written and directed by David Mamet. The Oscar and Emmy winner will appear opposite Al Pacino.
