The Casting Society of America has announced the nominations in the feature film categories for its 32nd annual Artios Awards for outstanding achievement in casting. Winners in the feature, TV and other categories will be revealed in dual ceremonies taking place in Los Angeles and New York on Jan. 19.
Feature film nominees in the big-budget drama category include Arrival, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Hidden Figures, Noctural Animals and The Girl on the Train, while the big-budget comedy category noms are Deadpool, Hail, Caesar, La La Land, Rules Don’t Apply and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
In the studio or independent drama competition, CSA nominated Captain Fantastic, Jackie, Lion, Loving and Manchester by the Sea. In the studio or independent comedy competition, nominees are 20th Century Women, Bad Moms, Cafe Society, Hell or High Water and The Edge of Seventeen. The low-budget category includes Moonlight, along with Christine, Goat, Hello, My Name Is Doris and White Girl.

In the animation category, The Jungle Book — which was shot on a blue-screen stage and features a cast of CG animals that interact with the lead, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) — is nominated alongside Finding Dory, Moana, The Little Prince and Zootopia.
As previously announced, Annette Bening will be honored with the Lynn Stalmaster Award for Career Achievement, and casting director Nina Gold will receive the Hoyt Bowers Award, which will be presented by J.J. Abrams at the L.A. ceremony. The Public Theater will take home the newly named Marion Dougherty New York Apple Award at the N.Y. ceremony.
Joel McHale is set to emcee the L.A. ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and Michael Urie will host the New York ceremony at Stage 48 in Hell’s Kitchen.
