Hilary Swank is a newlywed.
The actress married social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider on Aug. 18.
She posted a wedding photo of herself and Schneider on Instagram on Sunday, writing: “It happened…my dream came true. I married the man of my dreams in the middle of an enchanting redwood grove with all our loved ones around, including my rescue, Kai as our ring bearer.”
Swank told Vogue that they were married in Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California: “It’s a stunning private community surrounded by 20,000 acres of conservancy and an intimate redwood grove populated with trees that are over 800 years old.”
She also revealed that her Elie Saab Couture dress incorporated 25 meters of Chantilly lace, eight meters of silk chiffon and six meters of organza silk. It took seven people and 150 hours to create.
Swank said her Saab exceeded her hopes for a dress that was “romantic [and] felt as timeless as the redwood grove where we were to be married.”
