Historical Drama ‘Tommy’s Honour’ Acquired by Roadside for the U.S.

Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. rights to Jason Connery’s Tommy’s Honour.

The historical drama centers on the real-life founders of the modern golf game, the pioneering Scottish golfing champions Old Tom Morris and his son Young Tom Morris, who have a contentious relationship.

Jack Lowden and Peter Mullan star in Tommy’s Honour, which was written by Pamela Marin and Kevin Cook, adapted from Cook’s acclaimed book of the same name.

Keith Bank, Bob Last, Jim Kreutzer and Tim Moore produced the film with Kenneth Whitney and Keith Bank acting as executive producers.

Tommy’s Honour, which was the gala opening-night movie at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, will be released theatrically on March 24.

Roadside’s deal covers theatrical, DVD, VOD and pay rights, with Golf Channel securing basic cable rights. 

Timeless Films is handling international rights.
