While anxiously awaiting Sam Smith’s performance of his nominated hit “Writings on the Wall,” the crowd was kept in motion thanks to a solid mix of upbeat throwbacks and modern dance hits — from Michael Jackson to Pharrell — played by DJ Kiss.
