Conservatives in the entertainment-media sphere were using video and social media Wednesday to celebrate the victory that made Republican Donald Trump the president-elect over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
After several tweets — including one consisting of President Ronald Reagan toasting the “Deplorables” — actor and passionate Trump supporter Scott Baio posted a video on his Facebook page.
“Donald Trump went against the entire world, and won,” Baio says in the video. “I’m so proud that he is going to be my president. This is one tough, determined human being. I am floored by this … he’s almost as resilient as my wife.”
The actor also noted how difficult it was to outwardly support Trump in famously liberal Hollywood.
“I did take a lot of heat, which was to be expected. I did get some threats,” he says.
Meanwhile, there were several who were taking shots at an allegedly biased news media that predicted a Clinton victory. “Liberal media were the second-biggest losers last night,” said Brent Bozell, president of the conservative Media Research Center.
“This was a massive repudiation of the press. Our message — ‘Don’t believe the liberal media’ — succeeded, and in the next few days we will be unveiling a massive amount of polling data that will document this empirically,” Bozell said at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
At PJ Media, a company run by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Roger Simon, staffers created a video mashup of anchors and pundits on CNN and MSNBC predicting a “landslide” victory for Clinton, with many saying Trump would take other Republicans down with him.
Others were noting the discrepancy in how much money the entertainment-media industry gave to Clinton over Trump (roughly $22 million to $300,000, according to OpenSecrets.org), celebrating their wasted donations.
And multiple websites published the list of 16 celebrities who promised to leave the country if Trump were elected: Barbra Streisand, Bryan Cranston, Miley Cyrus, Raven-Symone, Al Sharpton, Ne-Yo, George Lopez, Keegan-Michael Key, Neve Campbell, Whoopi Goldberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Chelsea Handler, Cher, Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham.
Many of those boldface names were lambasted just prior to Election Day by conservative street artist Sabo, who posted fake real estate signs all over Beverly Hills and elsewhere featuring Trump as a realtor selling the home of one of the offending celebrities.

Another popular refrain from conservatives Wednesday was the celebration of the breaking of the glass ceiling, as Kellyanne Conway became the first woman to run a successful presidential campaign.
Conway started as a Trump adviser and pollster and was made campaign manager in August, a month after Trump accepted the nomination for president at the Republican National Convention in Ohio.
And over at Breitbart.com, gay, alt-right hero Milo Yiannopoulos tweaked journalists in a video where he visits a nearly empty “media row” at the Trump victory party Tuesday night in New York.
He steals ice cream meant for Fox News employees, then walks into spaces reserved for NBC and CNN, remarking on how barren they are. “They’ve gone home. They don’t give a shit. Oh, CNN, they’ve gone home, too, because they’re cowards and liars,” he says.
“These people don’t really want to tell you what’s happening. Once the narrative self-destructs under the reality of a Trump victory, they just leave,” Yiannopoulos says in the video.
