Hugh Jackman Rooney Mara Split - H 2015
AP ImagesPalmStar Media and Likely Story have acquired rights to Collateral Beauty, the drama that will star Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara.
The film will serve as Me and Earl and the Dying Girl‘s Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s next film, and centers on a New York advertising exec (Jackman) who experiences a deep personal tragedy. His colleagues devise an unconventional plan to break him out of his depression — which works — but not in a way that anyone imagined.
Principal photography is slated to begin in the fall, with PalmStar co-producing and fully financing in conjunction with its partner Merced Capital. CAA will represent the domestic rights in conjunction with WME.

Anonymous Content’s Michael Sugar and Bard Dorros are producing the film, along with Collateral Beauty‘s screenwriter Allan Loeb. Palmstar CEO Kevin Frakes will executive producer with Anthony Bregman of Likely Story and Steven Pearl.
The film will be PalmStar’s fifth collaboration with Likely Story after American Ultra, Sing Street, The Whole Truth and Every Secret Thing. PalmStar also previously worked on Anonymous Content on Laggies.

Ankur Rungta negotiated the deal on behalf of PalmStar Media, while Sean Marks and CAA negotiated on behalf of Loeb and Dave Fierson on behalf of Anonymous Content.
