Sony’s controversial comedy The Interview will get a wide release in the U.K., just months after the film received a limited release in the U.S. after many theater chains refused to show the film following a threat of terror attacks.
The film will hit theaters across the U.K. and Ireland on Feb. 6, going up against Selma and the Shaun the Sheep Movie. The U.K. release lands on the same date the film hits cinemas in Mexico.
Sony reported on Tuesday that the film, which has also been available for rent and purchase on several digital outlets, has taken in $31 million in online sales since the movie was made available on such platforms on Dec. 24.
