Universal may be aiming high with its Snow White project, Snow White and the Huntsman, which is trying to nab bold-faced names such as Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron as its leads, but Relativity remains undeterred on its Snow White movie.
The company has closed their deal with Tarsem Singh to direct its untitled movie based on the Brothers Grimm story. Melissa Wallack wrote the script, which begins with the evil stepmother kills Snow White’s father and destroying the kingdom. Our heroine then bands together with a gang of seven quarrelsome dwarves to reclaim what is rightly hers.
Relativity is hoping to begin the production on its movie in March.
Singh, who is more commonly known as just Tarsem, just wrapped The Immortals, the company’s take on the gods of ancient Greece.
