The Suicide Squad actor and the Top of the Lake helmer will receive the FOXTEL Breakthrough Awards at the gala event.
Previous winners of the award are Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki and Liam and Chris Hemsworth.
“Jai and Garth are worthy honorees of the FOXTEL Breakthrough Award. Both are incredibly talented and in demand, both internationally and in Australia. We look forward to celebrating their achievements,” said Kate Marks, President of Australians in Film.
Tim Minchin will act as host for the celebration, which is taking place on Oct 19 at NeueHouse Hollywood.
