James Corden will host this year’s Hollywood Film Awards.
The Into the Woods actor recently has taken over CBS’ The Late Late Show, following the exit of previous host Craig Ferguson. Corden will be honored at BAFTA’s Britannia Awards as British Artist of the Year.
Previously announced honorees at this years HFAs include Ridley Scott, who will receive the Hollywood Producer Award for his work on The Martian, and The Danish Girl helmer Tom Hooper, who will take home the Hollywood Director Award. Robert De Niro, Carey Mulligan, Alicia Vikander, Amy Schumer and Adam McKay also will be honored at the Nov. 1 ceremony.
“James Corden is one of the brightest stars on television today,” said Allen Shapiro, CEO of Dick Clark Productions. “We can’t wait to see what he has in store for the big night.”
The 19th Annual Hollywood Film Awards will take place at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills.
