There are certain rules
Jamie Kennedy has signed with APA in all areas. The actor, producer and comedian will next be seen opposite Brad Pitt in James Gray’s sci-fi epic Ad Astra, in which he plays a sergeant posted on a Martian base.
Kennedy is known for his roles in the Scream franchise, Romeo + Juliet, Bowfinger and As Good As It Gets, as well as Three Kings, Enemy of the State and Boiler Room. He also created The WB’s hidden-camera pranking series The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, and his more recent television credits include Comedy Central’s animated Legends of Chamberlain Heights, Chris Carter’s Amazon pilot The After, NBC’s Heartbeat and Lifetime’s Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le, in which he played legendary music manager Jerry Heller.
Related Stories
In film, he recently reprised his Tremors 5 character for the franchise’s sixth installment, A Cold Day in Hell, and also was seen in the thriller Spinning Man, starring Guy Pearce and Pierce Brosnan, and family action-adventure Riley’s Peak (also known as Surviving the Wild) with Jon Voight.
Kennedy, who remains active on the stand-up circuit, continues to be represented by Steve Small at aTa Management.
Ready for takeoff
Talent manager Adam Krasner has formed management and production company Two West Entertainment, which is launching with digital-first talent, including DIY expert and Craft City founder Karina Garcia, relationship expert Shannon Boodram, Bigger Bolder Baking founder Gemma Stafford and tech expert Sara Dietschy. Krasner previously ran the RTL Group and Stylehaul-owned management company Melrose & Park.
Others on the dotted line
Persona PR has signed Kennedy’s Scream co-star David Arquette, who earlier this year produced the documentary Survivors Guide to Prison and helped to launch the #AskMoreofHim campaign in support of the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements.
Bicoastal production studio Humble has signed director James Rath, making this his first commercial representation. The legally blind filmmaker, who was born with ocular albinism and nystagmus, has already completed his first project with Humble, a spot for Tommy Hilfiger’s Tommy Adaptive line, which is designed to help persons with disabilities get dressed more easily. Rath previously directed the feature How Apple Saved My Life, which highlights the company’s accessibility features and earned him an invitation from Tim Cook to advise on how Apple can further improve accessibility for those with visual impairments.
