Jason Biggs, Ashley Tisdale Starring in Indie Comedy ‘Drive, She Said’ (Exclusive)

Jason Biggs, currently co-starring on Orange Is the New Black, and Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical fame lead the cast of Drive, She Said, the indie comedy that just wrapped production in Los Angeles

Janet Montgomery, Bria Murphy, Jenny Mollen, Adrian Voo and Steven Weber are also part of the cast of what producers describe as a fish-out-of-water sex comedy.

The story centers on an insecure expectant father (Biggs) who, unable to find work in his field, unwittingly accepts a job chauffeuring prostitutes (Montgomery, Tisdale, Murphy) around Los Angeles. The story unfolds over the course of one night as the milquetoast dad finds he just may have the right stuff for fatherhood.

Mollen, who is Biggs’ wife in real life, plays Biggs’ wife onscreen.

The movie was written and directed by husband/wife team Joe Syracuse and Lisa Addario, with their true-life story inspiring the movie. While they were trying to catch their big Hollywood break, Syracuse had a lucrative — and sometimes dangerous — job of driving call girls around Los Angeles when Addario was pregnant with their first child.

The duo ended up becoming established screenwriters, with credits such as the animated feature Surf’s Up and Billy Crystal-Bette Midler comedy Parental Guidance.

Diego Del Rio Toca, Jorge Garcia, Shana Eddy-Grouf and Mary Pat Bentel are producing the comedy. Samuel Goldberg and Jackie Levine are executive producing. 

UTA is handling domestic distribution and The Works will be selling international.

Syracuse and Addario are repped at UTA, Kaplan Perrone, and Ken Richman. 

Biggs is repped by UTA and Ziffren Brittenham. Tisdale is repped by UTA and Perlman Management.
