In the first trailer for Jem and the Holograms, a music executive’s song video goes viral, giving her a double life as a rocker with the stage name Jem.

Director Jon M. Chu‘s (Never Say Never) film stars Aubrey Peeples (ABC’s Nashville), Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald and Juliette Lewis. The property started its life as an ’80s toy line and animated series.
Universal releases Jem and the Holograms on Oct. 23. The trailer can be seen below.
