“Hot and mild, because I didn’t know what kind of mood I’d be in,” the actress said on Friday’s Live! With Kelly and Michael of the Slim Jims. She also noted that she brought breath mints to counteract the effects of the salty snacks.
Appearing to promote her role in X-Men: Days of Future Past, the star talked with Kelly Ripa about her seemingly nonstop filming schedule, revealing that she wraps her work on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in two months, at which point she’ll finally be able to get some time off.
But she said it’s hard for her to relax when she finally gets the opportunity to do so.
“I try to sleep in, but then I always wake up at 6 a.m. and panic like, ‘I’ve got to be at work!’…So I just try so hard to relax, so that becomes my job,” Lawrence said, adding that she’d have to “learn how to relax again” after wrapping Hunger Games.
She also said that if she weren’t acting, she’d probably be a nurse.
Lawrence was an assistant nurse at her parents’ summer camp and said that she considered going to nursing school if the acting thing didn’t work out.
“I actually had a five-year plan when I came out here to act. I was like, ‘I’ll give it five years, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll go to nursing school,'” she said.
“I still sometimes wonder if I made the right decision,” she joked. “In restaurants or airports, I’ll sometimes wonder, mull it over.”
With her busy schedule and three Oscar nominations, she probably won’t need to consider a backup plan anytime soon.
Lawrence also confirmed that she’ll do another movie with David O. Russell, the film about the inventor of the Miracle Mop that he was considering her for.
“He recently texted me at I think 4 in the morning, and he was like, ‘I think I want to make a movie about the woman who invented the [Miracle] Mop. You want to do it?’ I was like, ‘Yeah,'” she recalled. “I can just imagine David looking at somebody mopping and being like, ‘Yeah, that’s my next screenplay.'”
Lawrence also tested her knowledge of other famous “Jennifers,” correctly guessing all the stars that Ripa hinted at. Watch her play the “Name That Jen” game in the clip below.
