Ahead of the start of principal photography, James Franco‘s Dubious Battle has rounded out the cast with Josh Hutcherson, Zach Braff, Analeigh Tipton, Ashley Greene and Ahna O’Reilly.
Franco, who will direct, has assembled quite a cast for the film. Already attached to appear are Selena Gomez, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Nat Wolff, John Savage and Sam Shepherd. The film is based on Steinbeck’s 1936 novel about the intense struggle between labor and capital in 1930s America. Matt Rager adapted the feature screenplay based on the novel.
AMBI Group, is financing the film and producing with Rabbit Bandini Productions and That’s Hollywood Pictures Production. Andrea Iervolino, Lady Monika Bacardi, Scott Reed, Vince Jolivette, Ron Singer and Iris Torres are producing.
Principal photography has begun in Georgia.
Hutcherson, repped by CAA and The Beddingfield Company, will next be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
Braff, who helmed and starred in Wish I Was Here, is repped by CAA, Management 360, and Hansen, Jacobson.
Tipton’s recent films include Mississippi Grind, which premiered at Sundance, and Two Night Stand. She’s repped by CAA and Mosaic.
Greene, known for her role in the Twilight series, also appeared in Wish I Was Here. She’s repped by CAA and McKeon-Myones Management.
O’Reilly appeared in Franco’s The Sound and the Fury, and Get on Up. She’s repped by WME.
