Batman has a suit for every occasion — and he is getting a new one for Justice League.
Justice League director Zack Snyder shared a shot of star Ben Affleck donning a tactical suit for the film, currently shooting in London. Snyder says it’s the last day Affleck will be filming with the suit for the Warner Bros. team-up — and the photo also includes a look at the Batmobile.
Batman already showed off his flair for wardrobe changes in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which saw him wearing the classic armor inspired by Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns as well as a more traditional costume.
The tactical suit features goggles and heavier plating than the suit he wore in BvS. But don’t worry, there are still no Bat-nipples. During a dream sequence, Batman also wore goggles and military-style pants and jacket.
Fans (and detractors) have noted that Snyder has trademarks he loves to repeat — and no doubt the Batman faithful will note the goggles in this costume are reminiscent of those worn by Night Owl in the 1986 graphic novel Watchmen, as well as in Snyder’s own 2009 big-screen adaptation.
What do you think?
Snyder first unveiled the trailer for Justice League at San Diego Comic-Con, and has also shared a few behind-the-scenes photos, including Jason Momoa (Aquaman) hanging out in costume and rocking a guitar.
