Justice League stars Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) were all on hand in Hall H, while Henry Cavill (Superman) was not in attendance.
Affleck introduced the Justice League trailer that opens with Wonder Woman taking down armed robbers and then heading off the her day job, restoring art. The Justice League members are scattered all over the globe (and underwater) after the death of Superman, when villain Steppenwolf appears on Paradise Island. J.K. Simmons, as Commissioner Gordon, summons them together, asking, ”How many of you are there?” To which Batman answers, “Not enough.” The end of the spot sees Jeremy Irons’ Alfred addressing a faceless figure (“He said you would come.”), who will hopefully lend some help.
After the trailer debuted, the majority of Hall H stood up along with the cast. Momoa even threw his chair in excitement, breaking it. he sat on the ground for the rest of the panel.
During the Q&A portion three off the audience members who asked questions were dressed as Wonder Woman, who was a clear fan favorite in Hall H.
When one of the younger of the audience members asked where Superman would be in this movie, Momoa pulled no punches, saying, “Kid, I don’t know if you saw the last movie, but Superman is dead.”
When asked by the audience about the Justice League re-shoots, castmember Fisher offered: “We are just about finished, actually. And Joss [Whedon, who replaced Zack Snyder when the original director took a leave of absence following his daughter’s suicide] is a great guy.”
