Bosworth most recently starred in the BBC miniseries SS-GB and Crackle’s The Art of More. Her other credits include Superman Returns, Beyond the Sea, Still Alice, Blue Crush, 21 and Homefront, and she next will appear in MGM’s post-apocalyptic survival drama The Domestics and National Geographic’s Iraq War drama The Long Road Home.
She met Polish on the set of 2013’s Big Sur, which she starred in and he directed off of his own screenplay adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel. Polish received a best first feature nomination at the Independent Spirit Awards for 1999’s Twin Falls, Idaho, and he won the John Cassavetes Award two years later for directing Jackpot, which he also produced with twin brother Mark Polish. Michael Polish’s other credits include Stay Cool and Warner Bros.’ The Astronaut Farmer.
Polish also directed Bosworth in Amnesiac, 90 Minutes in Heaven, Before I Wake and the upcoming Nona, a drama about sex trafficking in Central America. Polish wrote and directed, while Bosworth executive produced and plays a detective on the case of a Honduran girl in danger after meeting a seemingly-charming stranger who breaks his promise to help her reunite with her mother in America.
Nona, which stands for “No Name” in reference to the countless victims who vanish into the sex trafficking industry worldwide, is produced by Bosworth and Polish’s Make Pictures Productions. The newly-formed banner is producing (and Polish will direct) another socially conscious project, death row drama The Row, which Crackle has ordered to pilot.
The couple continue to actively develop several projects in the film, television and endorsement space, the latter of which includes previous ad campaigns for Topshop and JewelMint.
At ICM, Bosworth and Polish will reunite with their lit agent Spencer Baumgarten, who departed from CAA in November. Bosworth continues to be managed by Management 360 and Polish by Lee Stobby Entertainment, and both are represented by Morris Yorn.
