Katherine Jackson, the Jackson family matriarch and legal guardian of Michael Jackson‘s children Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket, has been reported missing, according to the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
While no foul play is suspected, according to police, her nephew Trent filed the report late Saturday night, stating Katherine, 82, had not been heard from in one week and he was concerned. While authorities are still trying to reach Katherine, the report is confusing, as authorities also say she is with family members.
Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s oldest child at 14 years old, confirmed her grandmother is missing on Twitter and provided a phone number for someone to call if they see Katherine. It is not clear who is taking care of Paris and her two younger brothers in her grandmother’s absence.
yes , my grandmother is missing . i haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now .

On Saturday, Jermaine Jackson tweeted his mother was resting in Arizona under doctor’s orders.
I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the orders of a doctor, not us

But Paris tweeted early Sunday, perhaps in response to her uncle, that “the same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother… just saying.”
Last year, Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of Michael Jackson. Murray is currently serving a four-year sentence in Los Angeles County Jail.
The family drama arises amid a dispute over Michael Jackson’s estate. In an undated letter released Wednesday, five of Katherine’s children, including Jermaine and Janet Jackson, signed a statement attacking the executors of their brother Michael’s estate for taking advantage of their mother. The letter alleges that the late King of Pop’s will, which left his enormous fortune to his mother, his three children, and charity, was a fake. Brother Randy Jackson confirmed the letter’s authenticity on his official Twitter account, which was retweeted by Janet.
While the letter alleged that Katherine had suffered a mini-stroke due to the stress Michael Jackson’s estate managers had put on her, Paris Jackson responded angrily to her aunts and uncles, saying her grandmother was fine. “I will defend my beloved family member with all I have, even if it means from other family members,” Paris tweeted. She continued: “At this point I dont care what people call me or if they think I’m a bad person… if it means sticking up for my grandmother i will do it.”
