It turns out that Lutz, while brought up through the ranks by the Twilight franchise, seemed to enjoy his experience filming Immortals much more. The actor told The Hollywood Reporter that the two filming experiences were “totally different.”
“Twilight’s kind of crazy. I’m very happy to be a part of them. But the last movie did seven months, and still wasn’t a well-oiled machine and it gets kind of tough,” he said on the red carpet at the premiere event for Immortals.

“We’re all very blessed and I love the experience. But working with Relativity and doing Immortals was just a world of difference, so much more enjoyable,” he added.
Lutz mentioned that there was a nutritionist and personal trainer on set during the filming of Immortals.

“Everyone just treated everyone like they were family,” Lutz said. “It’s just really a great experience to enjoy feeling like an equal on the set and that it’s not a machine, it’s a family.”

Lutz’s character in the Tarsem Singh-helmed project is sort of the troublemaker of the Gods. Lutz told THR he can relate to his Greek deity’s outlook on life.
“It’s how I live my life. I want to live every day waking up happy,” he said.
Henry Cavill stars in the film as Theseus, a peasant who is tasked with saving the world from King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) in this visually stunning and bloody epic. Freida Pinto, Stephen Dorff and Luke Evans also star in the film.
