The film is set to be helmed by Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld from a script by Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin.
The plot revolves around a man who becomes trapped in the body of a cat.
The deal arrives days after Spacey’s Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globes honors for his dramatic turn in Netflix’s House of Cards.
The actor is currently shooting Elvis & Nixon, in which he will portray President Richard Nixon.
He is repped by CAA, Joanne Horowitz Management and Hansen Jacobson Teller.
