Justice Forever is a team of costumed vigilantes that are inspired by Kick-Ass to fight crime. Of course, they don’t exactly have the skills for it. Oh, and that quote is mostly likely from Edmund Burke, but we think Dark Vader also said it.

With the movie Kick-Ass 2 barreling toward us with an Aug. 16 release date, creators Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. are cannily prepping for the publishing of Kick-Ass 3.

The six-issue miniseries kicks off in May and once again centers on Dave Lizewski, the green-garbed vigilante known as Kick-Ass, and Hit-Girl, the cute and cuss-filled tween assassin.
“The whole series concludes with Kick-Ass 3 as every character has his or her story tied up, and I’ve no plans to ever write them beyond this final volume,” Millar tells Heat Vision.
The first Kick-Ass movie veered away from the first volume around the halfway mark, and the second movie combines both the second volume and the Hit-Girl spinoff comic. If there is a third movie, it will come from this story.
“I’m a great believer in sticking to your guns, and although this has become a multi-picture franchise and my agent is literally weeping at the thought of me finishing things up, this seems like a good place to say goodbye to Dave Lizewski,” says Millar. “And, yes, that might just be as blood-curdling as it sounds.”
One of the highlights of this new comic series is the alternate covers (variants, in industry parlance) that will be drawn by special artists.
Some of them have been seen before but watch for a few exclusive first-looks. And the six covers come together to form a long poster of Justice Forever, the motley team of crime fighters that form around Kick-Ass.
“This is where Dave Lizewski’s story concludes … in the most natural way you can imagine for a guy who isn’t bulletproof,” says Millar, almost with a smirk.
