On the eve of both Christmas and the opening of Tim Burton‘s film Big Eyes, singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey — in partnership with Yahoo!, Google Play and The Weinstein Co. — has decided to provide her fans with free downloads of her Golden Globe award- and Critics’ Choice award-nominated song from the film, which is also entitled “Big Eyes,” via Yahoo! through Google Play. The opportunity extends until midnight ET/9 p.m. PT this evening.
Del Rey told THR, “I’m beyond excited and grateful that my fans have such a cool, unique opportunity to listen to ‘Big Eyes’ for free just in time for the holidays. What a phenomenal thing that Yahoo!, Google Play and The Weinstein Company have joined together to make this happen and give audiences the gift of music.”

Harvey Weinstein, co-chief of The Weinstein Co. — which is distributing Big Eyes and which previously worked with Yahoo! to promote the Taylor Swift film One Chance — added, “Lana and I were thrilled to plan a Christmas present to her fans by sharing her Golden Globe-nominated song from the movie. We are especially excited to give this away through Yahoo! and Google Play. My four daughters, who are the ages 19, 16, 12 and 4, consider these to be hands down the best sites for music — making this the only thing we’ve agreed on all year.”
Burton weighed in: “Lana’s style has such a great timeless sensibility, which fits the film so perfectly.”
