Laurie Feltheimer, wife of Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer, is set to co-host a TV special from the set of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2, to air on the Pop channel on Oct. 29.
The “Hot in Hollywood” designer will appear along CBS’ Entertainment Tonight host Carly Steel on Jet to the Set: The Hunger Games, from the Atlanta set of Lionsgate’s blockbuster YA movie franchise. The Pop channel’s movie promotion will come before the final installment of the Hunger Games’ worldwide release on Nov. 20.
As part of the TV special, Feltheimer will use make-up and special effects to transform herself into Panem’s resident fashionista Effie Trinket, while Steel will try her hand at archery. The duo will also provide behind-the-scenes access to key movie locations like the victor’s training center, president Snow’s mansion and the 75th Hunger Games cornucopia.
Feltheimer and Steel are also to interview lead castmembers Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth. Jet to the Set: The Hunger Games is produced by Rogue Atlas Productions, in association with Lionsgate Television.
Mockingjay – Part 2 will have its U.S. premiere in Los Angeles. The final Suzanne Collins adaptation also stars Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Eli Frankel, Feltheimer, and Steel share the executive producer credits.
