Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo behind The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street and its sequel 22 Jump Street, are helping out The Flash.
The writer-directors are working on a treatment for Warner Bros.’ big screen adaptation of the DC comic.
Ezra Miller has been cast to star in The Flash, which centers on super-speedy superhero Barry Allen. It’s slated for release on Mar 23, 2018.
Sources say Lord and Miller had been interested in being involved with The Flash since 2014. However, the duo, who also write and produce Fox’s hit comedy The Last Man on Earth, are not officially signed on to direct the project. They haven’t yet announced their next directorial project, but they’re producing several things in development right now including The Lego Batman Movie, Ninjago, 23 Jump Street and the Lego Movie sequel. They’re repped by UTA.
