Survival memoir Wild and Richard Linklater‘s coming-of-age epic Boyhood will bookend the third edition of Los Cabos International Film Festival.
Reese Witherspoon, who produced and starred in Wild, will be in the Mexican resort town to kick off the festival. Los Cabos closed last year with Wild director Jean-Marc Vallee‘s Dallas Buyers Club, which went on to win three Oscars, including best actor for Matthew McConaughey.
The critically acclaimed closer Boyhood will be presented by castmembers Ellar Coltrane and Lorelei Linklater.
Other special guests include Rosario Dawson, who will be in town for the Latin American premiere of The Captive as part of a tribute to Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan; Mexican writer-director Guillermo Arriaga (Babel screenwriter); Oscar-nominated writer-director Denys Arcand (The Barbarian Invasions); and Chaz Ebert, for a posthumous tribute to her late husband, film critic Roger Ebert.
Los Cabos runs from Nov. 12-16.
