Prepare for a lot more of The Mandalorian in the future, with Lucasfilm announcing an aggressive publishing program based on the Disney+ show, to launch later this year.
Announced via StarWars.com, the Mandalorian publishing program will begin with titles from Abrams Books, Del Rey, DK Publishing and Disney Lucasfilm Press, mixing fiction and nonfiction titles, before moving onto released from Marvel Entertainment, Crayola and more.
The initial titles include The Mandalorian, an original novel by Adam Christopher; The Art of the Mandalorian (Season One) by Phil Szostak; The Mandalorian: Junior Novelization by Joe Schreiber; and a currently untitled storybook for younger readers written by Brooke Vitale. Additionally, the announcement promises Mandalorian comics from both Marvel and IDW Publishing, as well as coloring and activity books and a Little Golden Books adaptation of the story from the first season.
Both Adam Christopher’s novel and The Art of the Mandalorian have December publication dates; other titles are currently unscheduled, although Lucasfilm’s announcement teases a Fall launch for the line.
The Mandalorian season two wrapped filming in March, and is currently scheduled for a late 2020 release.
