John Gaeta, who won an Oscar for the visual effects on The Matrix and now serves as senior vp creative strategy at mixed reality startup Magic Leap, will deliver a keynote at the View Conference for VFX, animation and immersive media, taking place Oct. 22-26 in Turin, Italy.
Also scheduled to deliver keynote addresses during the conference are eight-time Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Dennis Muren, Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer, Paramount Animation president Mireille Soria, ILM head Rob Bredow, Oscar-winner Jan Pinkava of Google Spotlight Stories, Side Effects Software founder Kim Davidson and Oscar-nominated director of The Breadwinner Nora Twomey.
Gaeta served as VFX supervisor on all three films in the Matrix trilogy. More recently he co-founded and was executive creative director of Lucasfilm’s ILMxLAB.
