Maria Bello wears her maternal worries on her sleeve in The Hollywood Reporter’s first look at In Search of Fellini.
Bello plays the mother of a small-town girl (Ksenia Solo) who journeys to Italy in search of legendary Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini. Mary Lynn Rajskub also stars.
Nancy Cartwright (known as the voice of Bart Simpson) co-wrote (with Peter Kjenaas) the coming-of-age drama and will executive produce. Taron Lexton directed the film.
“This is a 30-year labor of love,” says Cartwright. “Finding and working with Taron, Mary Lynn, Maria, Ksenia and this particular crew has made this a real dream-come-true.”
Shot in Cleveland and in four cities in Italy — Venice, Verona, Milan and Rome — In Search of Fellini is produced by Cartwright, Kjenaas, Lexton, Nathan Lorch, Milena Ferreira and Michael Doven. It is executive produced by Cartwright and Kevin Burke.
