Hold on to your butts, nerds.
Mark Hamill and James Gunn, it appears, will be hanging out soon and one of the topics they’ll go over is the possibility of the Luke Skywalker actor maybe being cast in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The pair got to talking over Twitter on Sunday night, and basically, it ended with them agreeing to hang out soon since they live near each other in Malibu.
It all started when a fan asked Gunn to put the Star Wars icon in the third installment of his franchise.
Gunn was open to the idea. And not long after, so was Hamill, saying he was down to hang out.
“I would be happy to do so, both as a good neighbor & an unemployed actor. All the best, mh,” Hamill tweeted.
Needless to say, fans of both Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy began to lose their minds, including Josh Gad, who tweeted a classic GIF reaction.
@JamesGunn, could you do me a huge favour and find a role for @HamillHimself in Guardians 3? The awesomeness of it might end me, but I’m willing to risk it. Thanks

I think @HamillHimself lives around the corner from me in Malibu so he can just come over and we can talk about it over a cup of coffee.

Yes I will although I don’t think your DMs are on for me.

Just followed you. Is that how DM’s work?
