Mark Wahlberg’s upcoming action film Mile 22 is set to hit theaters July 20.
The STX Films release stars Wahlberg as an elite American intelligence officer attempting to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of a foreign country with the help of a top-secret tactical command unit.
Peter Berg directed the pic, marking the fourth collaboration between the helmer and Wahlberg after 2013’s Lone Survivor and 2016’s Patriots Day and Deepwater Horizon.
John Malkovich, The Walking Dead‘s Lauren Cohan, The Raid‘s Iko Uwais and UFC breakout Ronda Rousey also star in the film.
Graham Roland and Lea Carpenter penned the script, while Berg and Wahlberg, for his Closest to the Hole production company, produced. John Logan Pierson executive produced.
Mile 22‘s release date puts it in competition with the musical sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
