Marvel has released the first poster for this summer’s Ant-Man — but if you were hoping to get a good glimpse of Paul Rudd in his superhero costume ahead of this evening’s trailer premiere, you’re out of luck. As with the first teaser for the movie, the hero of the poster is… well, ant-sized.
The poster debuted on the official Facebook page for the movie, with a caption that points out that “heroes come in all sizes.” Given that this is the second time that we’ve seen a miniature tease for the Peyton Reed-directed superhero movie following last week’s tiny trailer tease, it’s beginning to look like we should expect a promotional campaign filled with lots of practical jokes on the audience wherein expectations for previews are confounded by offerings so small as to be almost invisible.
(On the plus side, this does mean that we can expect massive Imax-sized trailers for any potential Giant-Man movie, so there’s that.)
The first full trailer for Ant-Man will debut during the premiere of Marvel’s Agent Carter on ABC tonight. The movie, which features Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Corey Stoll in addition to Rudd, opens July 17.
