After nearly four years at Skydance, Matthew Milam is moving to Sony as vp creative production.
“We are tremendously excited about Matt joining the Columbia team. We’ve followed his career from Warners to Skydance and have been utterly impressed with both his talent and his taste,” said Sony’s Michael DeLuca and Hannah Minghella.
Milam, who is known for his affinity for genre and fanboy fare, joined Skydance in 2011 as vp production in which he oversaw Geostrom, the upcoming Dean Devlin movie starring Gerard Butler.
He previously worked at Warner Bros. on films such as Clash of the Titans, Wrath of the Titans, Terminator Salvation, The Informant! and Observe and Report.
Prior to Warners, Milam acted as creative exec at Mandate Pictures, helping oversee Harold and Kumar 2, Grudge 2 and 30 Days of Night. He received co-producer credit on Boogeyman 2 for which he oversaw the development, production and postproduction.
