Just days after Robin Williams‘ death, a first clip of one of his last onscreen roles, Merry Friggin’ Christmas, has debuted.
Joel McHale and Lauren Graham also star in the dysfunctional holiday comedy, written by Wreck-It Ralph scribe Phil Johnston and directed by prolific television helmer Tristram Shapeero in his feature debut.
The film follows Boyd Mitchler (McHale) and his wife, Luann (Graham), as they spend a dreaded Christmas with Boyd’s father, Mitch (Williams), and his family of misfits. Upon realizing that he has left all of his son’s gifts at home, Boyd hits the road with his father and younger brother in an attempt to make the eight-hour round trip before sunrise.
The first look shows Williams brainstorming a suitable gift for Santa that doesn’t involve milk and cookies.
