Michelle Pfeiffer will receive the 2012 Cinema Icon Award at the upcoming convention of theater owners in Las Vegas.
CinemaCon runs April 23-26 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where Hollywood studios will tease their summer lineups.
On May 11, Pfeiffer stars opposite Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows, Warner Bros. big-screen adaptation of the cult soap opera starring vampires, ghosts and ghouls.
“Michelle Pfeiffer is truly one of the film’s industry’s great leading ladies,” CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser said.
Later this summer, Pfeiffer stars in DreamWorks’ drama People Like Us, directed by Alex Kurtzman in his feature directorial debut.
Pfeiffer will receive the Icon award during CinemaCon’s final night dinner.
